Nestled in the vibrant heart of the Basque Country, just a stone's throw from the mountains and within easy reach of the sea, Hotel Eskualduna Chez Katina is much more than just accommodation: it's a stopover, a cocoon, a family home open to the world.

Founded in 1745, on the eve of the French Revolution, our house was originally a stagecoach stop linking Pamplona to Pau. Since then, it has seen the passage of time and history... and four generations of sincere hospitality, woven from smiles, good humour and a deep respect for our region.

Today, we welcome with the same passion travellers in search of authenticity, nature and conviviality.

From the hotel, you can climb the peaks of Iparla and Behorleguy, or enjoy a panoramic walk over Baigura or Larla. For groups, we work with professional local guides who know the region like the back of their hand... and know how to tell it with passion.

When it comes to cultural discoveries, the location is ideal: Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, Bayonne, the Aldudes valley, the Arnaga villa, Biarritz, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the artisans, the ventas, the Irouleguy wine cellars... so many jewels to explore from our house. Not forgetting the soul of the region: embroidery, chocolate, chilli peppers, pottery, Basque songs and, of course, the Kintoa pig!
