3 - The Gouloux Clog Workshop & Gouloux Waterfall

Here, you will discover one of the Morvan’s emblematic crafts: the traditional making of wooden clogs. The visit is lively, authentic, and full of anecdotes about life in the past. The Relais des Lacs, located in Planchez at 640 meters above sea level, is a hotel-restaurant in the heart of the Morvan, ideally situated between Lake Les Settons, Lake Pannecière, and close to the forests of Haut-Folin. It is a perfect starting point for hiking, motorcycle rides, or cycling, and more broadly for enjoying the great outdoors. Lakes, waterfalls, scenic viewpoints, and marked trails are all around you.

The establishment welcomes a “nature & outdoor” clientele with practical services such as private parking, a secure courtyard for motorcycles, and a reception adapted to travelers’ needs (refreshments, hiking advice, etc.). It offers 30 rooms and local cuisine served in the dining room or on the terrace. The atmosphere is focused on relaxation and reconnecting with nature (pets are not allowed).

Finally, the Relais des Lacs also offers all-inclusive stays for groups (2 to 4 days), including accommodation and catering, organized visits/excursions, and easy coach access, for a complete immersion in the authentic Morvan.
