The hotel has been cultivating the art of hospitality since the late 17th century, when it was a simple inn called "La maison du Bon Périssère, au repos du voyageur".

A great botanist, Ramond de Carbonières, wrote his herbarium of the Pyrenees on the table in the reception area.
